Our Goal

To make your travel with us a safe, educational, fun and once in a lifetime experience. It is our goal to offer our travelers high quality adventures at competitive prices. We believe that through adventure travel, one can broaden his or her mind and grow an appreciation for the uniqueness of each culture.

Our Leadership

Highland Adventures was founded by Jill and Cristian Balbontin.

Jill holds a Masters in Spanish Literature from the University of Virgnia, and has over 15 years of immersion in the Spanish and Latin American culture. Her in-depth knowledge of the region and travel experience allow her to provide carefully selected adventures that deliver fun, cultural and educational value.

Cristian, also a UVA graduate, has over 20 years of living and traveling experience throughout Latin America. Born and raised in Chile, educated in the U.S. and a pasion for adventure travel allow him to bring insightful and unique experiences to Highland Adventures' travelers and friends.
